Staff Spotlight, Sharon Koch

Tell us about yourself!
I’m 49 (I feel 12. . .) and happily married for 16 years to my wonderful husband Eric. We have two grown daughters, Allix and Liz. I’m an animal lover and have three dogs and one cat (Jack, Wilson, Shorty, and Shelby). I’ve lived in Spokane since I was a little girl. We enjoy camping, boating, and 4-wheeling at our property at Lake Roosevelt. I also love to spend time running, planting flowers, reading, and hiking with my dogs.
Describe a typical day as an administrative assistant at a TEP site.
A typical day for me is so enjoyable. I do a variety of duties, including checking in clients, scheduling appointments, assisting providers, checking faxes, and tending to emails. I love meeting new people and making them feel comfortable and at ease as they work their way through our program.
I enjoy working with the Spokane team. Everyone is so positive; we all work so well together as a team. I enjoy coming to work each day and appreciate the positive energy.
What do you like about working at TEP during the holidays?
The Secret Santa Tradition that we do here in Spokane. We draw names and leave little gifts throughout the weeks leading up to Christmas, with a larger gift during the reveal at our Christmas staff meeting. I love the Christmas songs we play and the small decorations around the office.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I own my own bowling ball.
