A full continuum of care

The Emily Program provides multidisciplinary, integrative eating disorder treatment for people of all ages and genders who struggle with food issues, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, compulsive overeating, Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED), Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and related mental health and body image issues. Our care teams have decades of experience managing the complexities of eating disorders and the health conditions that often occur alongside them.

Because each person’s journey to recovery is as unique as they are, we adapt our eating disorder treatment programs to fit the individual needs of every client. With a full continuum of care that ranges from residential treatment to outpatient services, we meet our clients wherever they are and ensure they receive the personalized support needed for lasting recovery.

Residential Treatment

At our residential eating disorder treatment facilities, clients receive full-time, 24/7 inpatient support. Our quiet, safe, and comfortable settings provide the opportunity for clients to engage in therapy while practicing healthy daily living.

Clients are guided through the treatment for eating disorders in a program that includes personalized therapy, group support, nutritional guidance, and around-the-clock support, thanks to our multidisciplinary team of experts. This focus on personalized care, family involvement, and aftercare planning further emphasizes our commitment to helping clients receive lasting recovery in a nurturing environment.

Day Treatment

Our day treatment programs offer a structured path to healing while allowing clients to maintain some aspects of their daily life.

Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Day Program (PHP/IDP) – Our PHP/IDP program offers intensive, all-day treatment for clients transitioning from other care levels or those just beginning their recovery journey. Clients receive a minimum of 30 hours per week of treatment for eating disorders in PHP/IDP.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – Our IOP program is a flexible eating disorder treatment option for clients transitioning from another care level or just beginning their journey to recovery. With a minimum of 12 hours of treatment every week, IOP allows clients to actively engage in their recovery while successfully managing their work, school, or family commitments with the dedicated support of our multidisciplinary care teams.

Day Treatment for Adults

Day Treatment for Children, Teens, and Young Adults

Lodging for Day Treatment Clients – Accessing treatment can be a challenge, especially for those who live far from our eating disorder treatment facilities. That’s why we offer convenient lodging options for adult clients (18+) participating in our day treatment programs.

Designed to eliminate any logistical barriers that may impede the journey to recovery, our lodging service ensures that clients have a safe and supportive environment to return to after program hours. With the practicalities taken care of, clients can fully focus on what matters most – their recovery.

Outpatient Treatment

Our outpatient program caters to clients transitioning from higher levels of care or seeking non-intensive treatment to begin their recovery journey. With individually tailored treatment plans, our program focuses on nutrition education and recovery skills development.

In outpatient care, clients take a crucial step forward by integrating recovery practices into their daily lives. We offer outpatient treatment for eating disorders at our Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington locations, as well as through virtual sessions.

Virtual Treatment

Virtual treatment for eating disorders is offered within a secure video environment, allowing clients to receive care in the setting that’s best for them. Like our traditional day and outpatient programs, virtual PHP/IDP and IOP provide structure and support through individual and group sessions.

The Emily Program’s virtual eating disorder treatment program allows us to provide the same level of treatment clients would get in-person, but within a greater reach.
