Theresa Lopez (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Minnesota. She received her Master of Marriage and Family degree from Bethel University in St. Paul. Theresa has been with The Emily Program in their residential setting prior to outpatient work.
Theresa has a down-to-earth, person-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration and safety with a touch of humor. She uses a systemic lens and applies a perspective that highlights understanding the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. In addition to systems work, she also adds in attachment and parts work to help align and empower clients into their authentic selves. Her areas of focus include but are not limited to: anxiety, relationship/family issues, body image distress, ARFID, anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, SEED (severe and enduring eating disorders) population, trauma, PTSD, suicidality, self- harm, personality disorders, ADHD, and life transitions.
When not working, Theresa enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, starting house projects, connecting with friends, and being outdoors when she can whether it’s a nature walk or sitting by a bonfire.
