OP Nutrition & Culinary Lead

Lauren Tinkey (she/her) is the Outpatient Nutrition & Culinary Lead at The Emily Program’s Child, Adolescent & Adult Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lauren is responsible for the nutrition department’s effectiveness and efficiency, overseeing all of the location’s nutrition services within her role. As Outpatient Nutrition & Culinary Lead, she manages nutrition department personnel (including registered dietitians and dietetic technicians), conducts and coordinates clinical care for partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient levels of care, and directs operational functions of the treatment center’s culinary and food service needs.

Lauren attended the University of Georgia (UGA) and completed her Bachelor of Science in dietetics. During her undergrad, she co-founded the Sports Nutrition Association for Pre-Professionals, and worked under the sports dietitians with UGA’s Division I athletes. Lauren completed the Coordinated Dietetics Program to earn her Master of Science in health sciences with a nutrition focus. Prior to joining The Emily Program (formerly Veritas Collaborative), Lauren built up her clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian (RDN) and advanced her creativity and management skills working for start-ups.

Lauren embodies a balance of work-hard and play-hard. When not at work, you’re likely to find Lauren tackling a jigsaw puzzle, scheming a book swap, playing a round of golf, or seeking her adrenaline fix as an adventure sports enthusiast.
