Eating disorders treated at Columbus Residential

The Emily Program’s Columbus residential treatment center offers a compassionate team dedicated to helping adults and adolescents repair their relationship with food and body. We address the full spectrum of eating disorders and related mental health concerns.

  • Anorexia Nervosa: An unyielding drive toward thinness — leading to severe food restriction and malnutrition — accompanied by a skewed perception of body size
  • Bulimia Nervosa: Involves uncontrollable binge eating, followed by compensatory behaviors like fasting or meal-skipping, compulsive exercise, or self-induced vomiting, driven by distorted body image and fear of weight gain
  • Binge Eating Disorder (BED): Defined by repeated instances of binge eating and a sense of a loss of control, frequently triggered by difficult emotions

Food and body image struggles take many forms. Along with the primary eating disorder diagnoses, we treat various forms of disordered eating, including compulsive overeating, a behavior common in bulimia, binge eating disorder, and OSFED. No matter what issues you have with food and body, our compassionate Columbus team offers tailored support and effective treatment options to guide your healing journey.
