The Emily Program – Cleveland Offers Adolescent Eating Disorder Treatment Programs

It is estimated 95 percent of those who suffer from an eating disorder are between the ages of 12 and 25, according to the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders.
That’s why The Emily Program – Cleveland has tailored its programs to meet the individual needs of children and teens, in addition to adults.
At the core of adolescent treatment, we offer Maudsley family-based care with parents as leaders of the treatment team and an individualized treatment plan that will give teens and young adults the best chance at success.
The Emily Program – Cleveland is a place you can trust — with proven adolescent eating disorder treatment programs and a passionate, caring staff that can provide world-class treatment for your child.
You will have peace of mind knowing that our scientifically based outpatient treatment programs are backed by more than 30 years of industry-leading research and have proven results.
Children and Adolescent Eating Disorder Treatment Programs
Our adolescent eating disorder treatment programs allow your child to live at home with the support of family and friends while receiving the care necessary for long-term success. We believe this provides a better quality of life as clients progress through the different levels of treatment and stages of recovery.
We offer multiple levels of care for children and adolescents, from our most intensive day treatment/partial hospitalization care to intermediate outpatient therapy — all with the Maudsley Method based at the core of treatment.
Depending on the program and level of care necessary, patients may meet up to five days a week and up to six hours daily. Throughout the week, children and teens attend scheduled group therapy sessions, have their weights and vitals (blood pressure and pulse) monitored, and eat meals and/or snacks daily in a supportive group environment.
As leaders of the treatment team, parents take an active role in planning, providing, and supervising all meals and snacks. We support your family and child in their journey to recovery through our weekly Maudsley Method support groups.
We are committed to implementing the best solutions so that your child can achieve the success of a full and healthy life.
