Staff Spotlight, Elgina L. Wilson

Staff Spotlight, Elgina L. Wilson

Tell us about yourself!

Hello, my name is Elgina L. Wilson and I am an Administrative Coordinator for the Cleveland Heights Residential treatment center. I have been with The Emily Program for over six years.

What motivates you to show up for work each day?

The clients and staff motivate me to show up for work each day. For the clients, just being able to give them a word of encouragement or play their favorite song is motivation for me. For the staff, being able to provide administrative and emotional support motivates me.

What have our clients and your colleagues taught you?

Working for The Emily Program has truly been an experience that I will forever be grateful for! I have watched my colleagues work with clients toward their recovery. In doing so, I have applied and am still applying what I have seen in my own life. For example, I have learned how to set boundaries with myself and others, how to work through my emotions and fears, and how to love myself unconditionally.

If you could do another job just for a day, what would it be?

I would love to be a captain on a ship for a day.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

I really would like to learn how to do the waltz.

Get help. Find hope.
