Staff Spotlight, Brittany Davis

Tell us about yourself!
I am the Site Director at the Cleveland outpatient site. Prior to accepting this role in October of 2018, I was the Program Coordinator for our Adolescent Intensive Programming for about 9 years. I will always have a special place in my heart for adolescent treatment and the family-based treatment model. I started at The Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders as a student in 2009 and have enjoyed watching our organization grow tremendously since that time.
What do you like most about your job?
Hearing clients tell their stories once they have gotten closer to recovery, especially when parents start to see their child becoming more like their old self again. The heartbreaking parts of the job are tough, but the rewarding piece is irreplaceable.
What are you most looking forward to in the new year?
I am looking forward to watching this site, as well as our whole organization, grow over the next year. It is pretty remarkable how quickly we have grown recently and how many lives have been improved because of that.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
When I am not working, I am most likely with my husband and two kids, Isabelle who is 5 years old, and Tyler who just turned 3 years old. We love playing outside, hosting family and friends, going to the zoo, and having “Pizza Movie Nights” every Friday. We are die-hard Cleveland sports fans, which is a blessing and a curse.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I am the commissioner of two fantasy football leagues; one is a girls-only league and the other is a family league. I recently beat my husband to make it to the championship. Good times.
