Our Favorite Recovery Podcasts

Here at The Emily Program we love recovery resources and believe that creating a community is vital to keeping individuals on track with recovery. One of our current favorite ways to find support outside of direct treatment is podcasts! We wanted to share our love of recovery podcasts with you, so we compiled a list of our favorite eating disorder recovery podcasts.
Peace Meal
We’re biased to Peace Meal, well, because we make it. Peace Meal is a new eating disorder podcast hosted by The Emily Program. We cover topics ranging from eating disorders, body image issues, and how society may contribute to distorted thinking. We sit down with treatment staff, industry leaders, and those in recovery to discuss all things food and body. Not convinced? We also will be releasing “Recovery Stories” soon. These special episodes will feature personal stories and advice from those in recovery and beyond. AnthroDish
AnthroDish is a podcast hosted by Ph.D. student Sarah Duignan that speaks to the intersection of food, culture, and identity. Sarah sits down with individuals from all different backgrounds to talk about what links us all: food. In addition to the phenomenal episodes that currently out, our very own Jillian Lampert is going to be on an upcoming episode of AnthroDish, talking about the relationship between eating disorders, the brain, and biology.

The Eating Disorder Recovery Podcast is hosted by Dr. Janean Anderson. This podcast speaks about the recovery process from disordered eating, emotional eating, and healing body image. With over 50 episodes, this podcast is the perfect series for a deep-dive.
TED Radio Hour
Taking a bit of a turn from eating disorder specific podcasts, TED Radio Hour discusses various topics related to the human experience. Each week, groundbreaking TED Talks are shared on the podcast aimed towards enlightening listeners on the complexity of the human condition. Episodes we recommend for recovery support include, “Forgiveness,” “Quiet,” and “The Person You Become.”
